National Symposium on Radioiodine Therapy of Thyroid Diseases Held in Nanning
The national symposium on radioiodine therapy of thyroid diseases has been successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from Aug.16 to Aug. 18, which sponsored by the Chinese Society of Nuclear Medicine (CSNM) and hosted by the department of nuclear medicine, thefirst affiliated hospital of Guangxi Medical University. Seven standing committees of the CSNM, editor-in chief and deputy editor of the Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and over 150 nuclear medicine physicians and technologists from across the country attended the meeting.
CSNM president Gang Huang, president-elect Yaming Li made the keynote address at the opening session respectively，so did some administrative officials such as the head of local health department, the vice president of Guangxi Medical University. During the three-day meeting, experts shared their understanding of the latest clinical practice guidelines for 131I therapy of differentiated thyroid carcinoma as well as guidelines for 131I therapy of Graves disease with guests. At last, all attendees enjoyed enthusiastic and warm discussions on difficult cases.
